We finished our summer trip to Europe in Paris, taking a train from the end of our road trip back to the City of Light.

Since Charlie and I have both been fortunate enough to visit Paris a number of times, we focused on our visiting only our favorite places, and mostly stuck to relaxing! Charlie had not been to Versailles, so that was one priority! We also had a chance to meet up with two of my friends, Alex and Erin, who both still live in Paris and who I met when I lived there in 2008–09.

Because the days weren’t busy, I’ve put together a photo montage instead to share our time in Paris!

Jardin Luxembourg. When I lived in Paris as an Au Pair, I would walk through the garden twice a day to pick up the boys from school, and to walk them home.

Obligatory visit to the Tour Eiffel!
Les Invalides, which houses the French military museum- a must-visit for Charlie!
Our visit to Versailles coincided with their Singing Fountains exhibit that happens in the summer- something I had never experienced! It was stunning!

Game of Thrones exhibit at the expo center. Of course, this was a cool exhibit but the best part was that the entire expo center was air-conditioned, and we really needed a break from the heat!
Paris is all about presentation!
Enjoying a reunion with Erin and Alex!
Before heading to the airport for our flight home, we grabbed cocktails at La Terrasse at the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. It was a perfect way to end our trip, looking out over the city with champagne in hand!
